Blood Slayer

The Blood Slayer is a blood-rite hunter who pays for spells with their own life instead of energy — a martial caster built for high risk and high reward.

Overview

RoleMelee damage / Blood magic
Difficulty⭐⭐⭐ High
Magic sourceHemomancy + martial combat
Main weaponsSword (placeholder)
Starting equipmentRawhide leather armor (placeholder)

Playstyle

The Blood Slayer fights up close like a martial class but draws on Hemomancy — the same blood magic featured on the Mage's page — approached through combat rather than pure spellcasting. Its defining mechanic is that spells cost the caster's own HP rather than energy, making every cast a wager: solid base health (30) and the second-highest crit-chance curve in the game reward aggression, but overcommitting can kill you faster than the enemy does.

Current Status

The Blood Slayer is fully playable today — selectable at character creation, with its own stats, identity, and starting kit. It currently uses a starter sword and reuses the Rogue's rawhide leather armor as placeholders, and its dedicated skill tree is still empty and in active development.

Tips

  • Track your own HP as closely as the enemy's — HP-cost casting punishes misplay directly and can put you in a death spiral if you overcast.
  • Use the high crit-chance curve to end fights quickly; the Blood Slayer isn't built to win a war of attrition.
  • Because the skill tree is empty for now, treat Hemomancy's fundamentals — reviewed on the Mage's page — as your best guide to how the school will eventually play here.
