Playstyle
The Barbarian is a self-buffing melee bruiser: rage powers its offense and survivability instead of any spell school. It has the highest health curve of all 14 classes in the game, and among the lowest energy needs, so there's little resource management to juggle — you close distance and stay in the fight. At character creation you choose your starting kit: an axe for faster, more aggressive swings, or a hammer for heavier, more deliberate hits. Both are viable; the choice is a matter of preference rather than a hard specialization.
Current Status
The Barbarian is fully playable today — it's selectable at character creation with its own stats, identity and starting kit. Its dedicated skill tree is still empty and in active development, so for now the class plays on its base kit without specialized abilities layered on top.
Tips
- With the highest HP curve in the game, the Barbarian is a forgiving pick if you want to learn melee combat without worrying about fragility.
- Low energy use means you rarely have to manage a resource bar — just fight.
- The axe and hammer starter kits play differently in feel; try both before committing to a race/build around one.
