Weapons

Xindeler currently has 9 weapon types, each with its own combat feel and skill-tree interactions. Dagger, shield, spear and blowgun are planned for a future update.

Weapon Types

Weapon types
TypeStyle
SwordBalanced, combo-driven melee
AxeHeavy, high-damage melee with cleave potential
HammerSlow, poise-breaking melee
BowRanged physical damage
StaffRanged caster weapon (Arcana)
SceptreSupport/caster weapon (Divine)
TomeCaster weapon, basic spell set
Holy SymbolCaster weapon, basic spell set (Divine)
FocusCaster weapon, basic spell set (Arcana)

Tome, Holy Symbol and Focus are original to Xindeler — they don't exist in the base engine, so there's no reference art for them yet.

Caster weapons (Tome, Holy Symbol, Focus, Staff, Sceptre) determine which set of basic spells you have available — see Magic for how sources, schools and spells fit together.

Modular Crafting

Weapons are modular: the final stats come from the combination of materials used, not a fixed template. A weapon crafted from common iron behaves very differently from the same weapon type forged with a rarer material — see Crafting for the quality-tier system that governs this.

Legendary Weapons

Some weapons in Xindeler are unique, storied relics rather than crafted gear. Their true history is part of the game's deeper lore — what follows is only what's safe to say out loud.

  • Frostbane Lore — a relic said to date back to the Great War. Whatever it cuts stays cold long after the wound closes.
  • The Leviathan's Axe Lore — an axe of draconic make, too large and too old for mortal hands to have forged it.
  • The Veilbinder Staff Lore — a staff that hums with the Veil itself. Those who've studied it don't like to talk about who last carried it.
  • Wailmaul Lore — a war-hammer that carries the sound of screaming faces into every swing. No one has traced where the screaming comes from.
  • The Reaver of the Crownless King Lore — a blade named for a throne that no longer exists, wielded by someone who very much does.
  • The Marrow-Scepter Lore — a scepter crowned with something that used to be a skull. It does not like being pointed at the living.

Where these relics are, who carries them now, and what they truly are — that's part of the story the game reveals as it unfolds.
